First Project Will Be to Support IMAX-Style Michael Jordan Film
CHICAGO–Film company Giant Screen Sports is contacting Chicago agencies for a $9 million assignment behind a large-screen-format movie starring Michael Jordan–a project that could lead to a permanent relationship.
Mary Kaye Kennedy, director of marketing for the film producer and distributor, said the company seeks a shop to create advertising for Michael Jordan to the Max, a film shot in an IMAX-style large screen format. The film, due to premiere in May, follows the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-98 season–the team’s final NBA championship run–with a focus on Jordan, its superstar.
