Neiman Marcus, Dallas, promoted Neva Hall to vice president of corporate public relations. Hall will direct publicity and special events for the retailer. She was previously vice president and divisional merchandise manager of couture and designer sportswear.
Gunn Automotive Group, San Antonio, appointed Chris Karcher as its new corporate director of marketing. Karcher previously worked as marketing concepts manager for Clark American Checks. Gunn owns 10 dealerships representing 12 automotive brands in San Antonio, as well as six used-car centers.
Meltzer & Martin Public Relations, Dallas, added Kori Whitener as account executive. Whitener had been public relations representative at M/C/C in Dallas.
Black Rogers Sullivan Goodnight, Houston, promoted Brenda Wooley to vice president and associate media director and Stephanie Concialdi to junior broadcast buyer of its Media U.S.A. affiliate. Wooley has been with BRSG for more than 13 years. Concialdi joined BRSG more than a year ago.
Karen Weinmann has progressed from subscription marketing manager to circulation manager of Texas Monthly. Weinmann has been with the magazine since March 1994.
Marketing research firm Decision Analyst Inc. of Arlington, Texas, signed Chris Couch as vice president of information systems.

Taylor Speier Group, Houston, brought on Andy Jackson as planning supervisor and hired back Alys Lockley Caldwell as media director. Jackson was account supervisor at Bates Southwest, Houston; Caldwell has been an independent consultant to several local agencies and to The Methodist Hospital, Houston.
Fred Peer joined Hadeler Sullivan Ewing, Dallas, as art director. Peer had been art director at Calzone & Associates, Lafayette, La.
The Maxfield Group, Irving, added Kathleen Edstrom as management supervisor. She had been account supervisor at Temerlin McClain, Irving. Edstrom’s duties at Maxfield will include supervising strategic planning and advertising programs for clients including American Olean, The Dallas Opera and Dal-Tile International.
Madhuchanda Raha joined The Grayson Group, Dallas, as marketing research manager. Raha has had stints at several agencies, including Akshara Advertising and Pratibha Advertising in India.
Paul W. Thomas was named creative director of The Alan Rothman Co., Little Rock. Rothman has held creative director posts at Arkansas agencies including S.M. Brooks Advertising and Brooks-Pollard Advertising.
Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, Little Rock, has promoted three staff members: Cindy Fribourgh moves up to senior public relations account executive, Colleen Rocke to account executive and Mark Schulte to copywriter. Fribourgh joined CJRW in 1989, Rocke in 1993 and Schulte in 1992.
