Donna Wolfe was promoted to executive vice president, director of broadcast for Universal McCann North Amer ica, effective immediately. She succeeds Bill Cella, who was named chairman of Magna Glo bal USA, the new Interpublic Group media-negotiation unit, in July. In her new role, she oversees more than $2.6 billion in national broadcast spend-ing in network, cable and syndication TV; she also chairs Universal McCann’s Cross Media Council and serves as a member of the Magna Glo -bal USA Advisory Council. Wolfe, who is based in New York, was previously executive vice president, director of national broadcast for Universal McCann USA.
Hill, Holliday/New York hired 15 staffers. Jeff Harris and Philip Koutsis were both named associate creative directors. Darryl Kaalund joined as a production artist supervisor. Ber nard Seaborn was appointed Adsend senior operator. Joseph Perciaccanto arrived as a traffic manager. J.J. Stark was hired as studio manager. Edward Bordonada, James Collins, Joe Russo and Erech Swanston were all named Mac artists. Tony Brungard and Boyd Hagen were both appointed proofreaders. Wendy Thompson arrived as an assistant account executive. Nicholas Sherman was named an account coordinator. Kevin McDermott joined as an administrative assistant.
Stan Adams joined Hakuhodo Advertising America in New York as senior vice pres ident, chief marketing officer, a newly cre ated position. He most recently served as senior vice president of the Nan- tucket Group.
EastWest Creative hired four staffers. Rod Gonzalez was named senior creative director, steering creative on brands such as Reckitt Benckiser and Nabisco’s Planters; before joining the New York-based agency, he was a vice president, group creative director at The Guild Group. Ed Catto arrived as group account di rector, working on Campbell’s, Lipton, Nab isco and Reckitt Benckiser, among others; he formerly was vice president of marketing at bigstar.com. Jim Hackett was appointed senior vice president of advertising for Parade Publications in New York. He formerly was vice president, advertising sales at USA Weekend.
Lisa Schwartz was elevated to senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing at MuchMusic USA. She is based in the network’s College Station, Pa., office. Schwartz was previously vice president of national accounts and distribution strategies at the New York-based music network, which is managed by Rainbow Media Holdings, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corp. and NBC.
Media Logic promoted Kris tin Riley to senior graphic artist. She formerly worked as a graphic artist at the Albany-based agency.
Smith & Jones in West Sand Lake hired Tina Meyers, giving her the title of imaginatrix. She is responsible for developing concepts, visual imagery and design for ad vertising in all media, as well as overseeing all photographic, film/video and print production. Meyers previously was an art director at Lambesis in Del Mar, Calif.
Schubert Communications promoted Chris topher Raymond to senior art director— interactive. He previously served as an art director at the Downingtown-based shop.
