Deutsch named David Levin vice president, account director on the Pfizer account. He joined the New York-based agency in October 1999 and played a critical role in the launch of a new direct-to-consumer campaign for Pfizer’s Zyrtec brand. Prior to Deutsch, Levin worked at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmet terer/Euro RSCG in New York from 1997-99 as account supervisor, working on accounts such as Schering-Plough HealthCare Products’ Afrin and Chlor-Trimeton.

The Rochester office of Eric Mower and Associates promoted Julie Marriott to senior graphic designer. Since joining EMA in 1999, she has worked on accounts that include The Al Sigl Center, Eastman Kodak Co., Empire Kosher Poultry and Harris Interactive.

Darren Press joined McCaffery Ratner Gottlieb & Lane as copywriter on the DirectAdvice.com, Punch and Excalibur cigar businesses. Prior to joining the New York-based agency, he produced off-Broadway shows, including Woody Guthrie’s American Song.

Chris Hogan joined Expedia. com as New England e-commerce sales manager, based in the company’s Dobbs Ferry office. He previously worked at American Airlines Publishing as the Eastern advertising manager.

Primedia Consumer Magazines hired Julie Davidson as integrated sales manager with the American Baby Group sales team. She arrives at the New York-based company from JSA Publishing and JSA en Español.

Centra Marketing and Communications tapped Michele China as senior vice president of strategic business development. She joins the Westbury-based promotion-marketing agency after serving for eight years at Tipton & Maglione in New York.

Spontaneous Combustion in New York appointed Dana Yee design director. She comes to the digital studio from Delirium Corp. in New York, where she served as broadband director. In addition, Spontaneous Combustion added three designers to the studio’s design group: senior designer Haejin Cho; senior animator Pakorn Bupphavesa; and animator Gary Tam. All three also formerly worked at Delirium.

Display Technologies in College Point named Alan Katz vice president of sales. Before arriving at the company, a man ufacturer/designer of retail point-of- purchase displays, he worked as vice president of sales for Display Systems in Maspeth.

Attik in New York appointed Andrea Dearden executive director of client services. She most recently served at Mercier Gray in London as group account director.

The Mercury Group hired James Modica as project director. Before joining the New York-based qualitative medical market-research company, he worked at companies such as Ethicon and the American Cyana mid division of American Home Products.

Howie Kleinberg joined the marketing team at ElectricArtists in New York as account executive, promotions. He arrives from W&R Music Group/DV8 Records.

NEW JERSEY

DVC Worldwide in Morristown hired John Wozniak as chief financial officer. He joins the agency from Young & Rubicam Inc.

Hollyrock/Miller in Princeton tapped Deborah Konowitz as account executive. She has more than eight years of account-management and media experience with Keyes Martin and Venet Advertising.

John Gogarty joined The MWW Group’s consumer group as a vice president; he will lead the East Rutherford-based company’s sports-marketing practice. He previously worked at agencies such as Ketchum in New York and The Sherry Group.

Richartz Fliss Clark & Pope in Denville named Glen Turvey senior account executive, Business-to-Business & Technology division. He previously served as account director at Enterprise PR, Business-to-Business and High Tech division, in England.

PENNSYLVANIA

Devon Direct Euro RSCG in Berwyn appointed Richard Scheiner vice president—client services. He will play a key leadership and strategic role on the Nextel account, focusing on the customer-communications segment. Scheiner joins the shop from Guthy-Renker Direct in Santa Monica, Calif.

MARC USA in Pittsburgh hired four new staffers. Regis Rhodes was named studio manager; he arrives at the agency after working as a graphic designer at US Web, also in Pittsburgh. Marian Luisi was appointed senior business manager; she previously worked at elan communications in Pittsburgh. Diane McNally was hired as office supervisor; she most recently worked at Grant Street Associates. Fran Gomez joins as the office’s corporate receptionist; she formerly served as a human resources coordinator at Fiserv.

MayoSeitz Media in Blue Bell hired Jessica Lightman as a media buyer. She will be working on accounts that include the Philadelphia Phillies and McIntosh Inns.
