CONNECTICUT Wanda Whitson was appointed account manager in the public relations division of Mason & Madison in New Haven. She had worked for Greenberg Seronick O'Leary and Partners in Boston. Decker in Glastonbury has appointed Paul Murray, group creative director; Rob Wolfson, account executive; Brian Curran, assistant art director; and Johanna Moriarty, director of media planning. Keiler & Co. in Farmington has appointed Kim Carroll account manager on the Deloitte & Touche business. Carroll was an account manager with Group Four Design in Avon. KGA Advertising in Middletown has named Alex Chik director of media strategy, a newly created post that reports to Larry Piretti, vice president of media. Also joining the shop are account coordinator Deborah Vercellone and receptionist Shannon Shea. MAINE The DW Communications Group in Portland has named Laura Carnes account executive and public relations manager and Kim Bard account executive. Bard will manage the University of Maine at Augusta and Carleton-Willard Village accounts, while Carnes will manage the Maine Cellular account. MASSACHUSETTS David Gevanthor has been named director of sales in New England for British Airways. Based in Boston, Gevanthor has held sales and marketing positions in the passenger cruise industry. Golin/Harris Communications in Boston has promoted Karyl Levinson and Craig Mitchell to vice president. Levinson will manage the agency's Comverse Network Systems, AltaVista Search Service and Digital worldwide services accounts. Mitchell will supervise Digital's sales and marketing division account. BBK in Newton has promoted David Walsh to associate director of account strategy from marketing strategist. Mame Glasheen Conroy has been tapped as national sales manager for WFNX-FM in Lynn. Conroy was previously an account executive at WBCN-FM in Boston. WGBH-TV in Boston has hired Erin Martin as promotion supervisor for fundraising and TV outreach. She was most recently account manager at Feinstein Kean Partners in Cambridge. The station also expanded the role of reporter John Carroll, a contributor on media and advertising issues, to include breaking news coverage. Corey McPherson Nash in Watertown has hired Lynn Zebrowski as business development coordinator and Heather Snyder as designer. The Excalibur Group in Newton has appointed James Barton vice president of consulting services; Dwight Galler director of marketing; Liz Frazer director of implementation and training services; Kim Gray, implementation team leader and Jennifer McLaughlin, account executive. MediaOne in North Dartmouth has tapped Sheryl Moline as creative services coordinator and Phil Ramasci as creative services manager from creative services supervisor. Pan Communications in Andover has appointed Brian Wright and Kevin Hattori account managers. The firm promoted Ditas Mauricio to account manager from senior associate and Colin Sullivan to associate from junior associate. Student Advantage in Boston has named Rob Aronson senior director for partnership development and sales. He was previously with Link magazine. The Weber Group in Cambridge has promoted Kristen Holmes and Laurie Kelly from account supervisors to account directors. Geoffrey Webb has been promoted to director of advertising at KB Toys in Pittsfield. Most recently, Webb was advertising, print and production manager. The Business Journal of Southeastern Massachusetts has named Mary Dennehy sales director of the South Shore area, including Plymouth and Norfolk counties. NEW HAMPSHIRE Cathy Ives has been promoted to vice president and assistant general manager at New Hampshire Public Radio in Concord. She was most recently vice president of marketing and development. Also, Jon Greenberg was hired as feature news manager. RHODE ISLAND Catalyst in Warwick has appointed David Cleveland, account supervisor; Liz Hurley, copywriter; Lauren Lomax, account supervisor; and Hanne Le Blanc, account executive.
