Julie Orton joined as an account coordinator. She had worked at Pazar International Imaging Materials, Buffalo, N.Y. Laura Humphrey joined Christopher Thomas in Stamford as a strategic planner. She had been director of marketing for the Boston Medical Center. TradeZone, Westport, hired Peter Rodway as managing director. He was the founder of Alexander Promotions, an in-store marketing company specializing in P.O.P. materials for technology products. Marcus Lawson joined DRC Advertising in Danbury as a senior copywriter. Previously he was a freelance copywriter. Aline Weiller joined The Senior Network, Stamford, as assistant director of marketing. - MAINE McCabe & Duval in Portland hired Ted Smith as a senior art director. He had previously held senior design posts with TFA/Leo Burnett Technology Group and Spiessl Kitchen Vosik, both in Boston. Coleen Lehigh was hired as production and traffic manager. For the past six years, she was with Unum Provident Life Insurance. Debbie Talbott came aboard as a senior account executive. She has worked for agencies in the Portland area and for L.L. Bean. Michael Davis was hired as business manager. He has held positions at L.L. Bean and is a past president of the Maine World Trade Association. - MASSACHUSETTS Michael Krolak joined van Schouwen Associates, Springfield, as a software engineer. He has worked as a database engineer and lead software engineer for New England companies. Francine Achbar and Margaret Albright joined Greenstein & Partners, Lexington, as senior vice president and vice president, respectively. Achbar was most recently vice president of programming for American Public Television and she has held senior posts at WBZ-TV, Boston, a CBS affiliate. In her new role, she is responsible for developing new business partnerships and the development and distribution of video and TV projects. Albright, who will oversee new business development, had been manager of new business affairs at American Public Television and has also worked for WGBH-TV, Boston, a PBS station. Diane Evans was named vice president of DMW Worldwide, a direct response firm in Braintree, after serving eight years with Channel 10/36 Friends, the fund-raising arm of Milwaukee Public Television. Jessica Maczuba was named account executive at the Direct Results Group, Boston, handling Integris, Incensive Systems, Cambridge Savings Bank and Silverstream. She had been with Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston. Diane Anderson was appointed vice president of marketing and North American sales for Polaroid Graphics Imaging, Waltham. She had been vice president, strategic relations for the group. In her new role, she will direct the company's efforts in the Western Hemisphere and Asia and will serve as liaison to the company's European, Middle East and African marketing operations. Lisa Joy joined Sterling Hager, Watertown, as marketing manager. She had been with The Los Angeles Times, where she was a marketing and planning manager for classified advertising. Epsilon in Burlington recruited Jay Rein for vice president of client services. In this role, Rein will oversee account management for existing and prospective clients. Cherylanne Novinsky was named director of marketing for Le Meridien, Boston, a 326-room luxury hotel. Previously, she was director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Hotel, Boston. Thomas Flaherty joined Allen & Gerritsen, Watertown, as a senior interactive producer. He had been with Inso Corp., Boston, as manager of new media and a Web developer. Joe Panzetta joined A&G as an interactive producer. He was a graphic designer at long-time agency client State Street Global Advisors. Aileen Martin came aboard as a marketing associate. She had been an account coordinator at Hawley/Sandler, Boston. Lois Paul & Partners, Burlington, made the following promotions: Ted Weismann to director of client services; Erika Schonberg to account manager; Allison Stinson to staffing manager; Aimee Konsowitz to senior sales representative; Leah Orfanos to account representative; and Darlene Ayan to associate account representative.
