A ALABAMA Lewis Communications in Mobile has added media buyer Jerry Dyess and media clerk Laura Teague. A FLORIDA Patricia Courtois has joined Clarke Advertising & Public Relations as director of public relations, a new position at the Atlanta agency. Jay Humphreys has been named public relations manager for the St. Johns County Visitors and Convention Bureau in St. Augustine. He was previously an executive producer at Bush Entertainment. A GEORGIA Chris Jacobs has become senior vice president and partner at Cole Henderson Drake. The Atlanta agency added Jacobs, formerly with The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va., in the summer. Response Media Products in Atlanta has appointed MaryEllen McGarry director of new business development. Atlanta's point b has hired Kevin Kinney as senior account manager, Amy McGurk as graphic designer, and Brandi Williams and Kristen Duckworth as assistant account executives. The new hires are part of the company's expansion, which includes an additional 2,000 square feet of office space at the King Plow Arts Center. Jill Meiser has rejoined BBDO South as senior vice president and director of broadcast media buying. She returns to the Atlanta shop after two years at Fletcher Martin Associates. In Atlanta, Donino, White & Partners has recruited more than 20 new employees. In the creative department, Dick Briner has returned to the agency as executive creative director; Leslie French is senior copywriter; Todd Haislip is copywriter; Jesse Torres is interactive artist; Carrie Skinner is traffic manager; and Kimberley Kramer is creative coordinator. Deana Strauss and Paulette Chafe have come aboard as strategic planning directors. The account management department sees Bob Hill, Mark Lauzon, Lori Mattson, Marc Savoie and Paige Price arrive as account managers; Mindy Herndon as assistant manager of business development; and account coordinators Katie Cobbs, Carol Gibson, Brett Moore, Gallia Sanzaro and Metitia Allen. The media department has welcomed broadcast buyer Michelle Wise and media assistant Kurt Hirshman. Executive assistant Andrea Northcutt, accounts receivable manager Cynthia Leyva and accounts payable manager Jacqueline Ocampo have joined the administrative staff. A MARYLAND E-commerce company pyacht.com in Annapolis has added Gary Jobson to its board of directors. Jobson is covering America's Cup 2000 for ESPN and Olympic sailing in Sydney for NBC. Eisner Communications has promoted John Ciotti to executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Linda Stanley has been elevated to senior vice president and director of operations. Together, they will be responsible for the internal operations of the Baltimore agency. George Wallace has arrived as marketing account executive for RF&A sports properties, athletes and events. Mary Beth LeFaivre has joined the agency's food and beverage practice as media relations associate. Media relations associate Heather Monast has progressed to assistant account executive. A SOUTH CAROLINA Jackson-Dawson has recruited marketing consultant Frank DeAngelo to manage its motor sports division. DeAngelo comes to the Greenville company after working with motor sports sponsors such as Ford, B.F. Goodrich, Alcoa Wheels, Exxon and the Miller Racing Group. A TENNESSEE The Buntin Group has named Tony Lee senior vice president and creative director. Lee arrives at the Nashville agency from BBDO in Vancouver, Canada, where he held the same title and won more than 100 creative awards. In addition to administrative responsibilities, Lee will serve as lead copywriter on a number of accounts. A VIRGINIA The Martin Agency in Richmond has made three staff additions. Steve Mullin was designated media relations counselor; L'Teisha Power was named account coordinator; and Jonathan Eastwood was appointed account coordinator. The Richmond office of Arnold Communications has promoted Amy Thornburg to media and marketing research analyst. She was formerly manager of Arnold's media research department and a print media buyer. Separately, Zaida Ferruzzi has joined the agency as an account coordinator on the Virginia Lottery and Virginia Power accounts from Rawle-Murdy Associates in Charleston, S.C. A WEST VIRGINIA Alison Boyer has joined The Arnold Agency in Charleston as traffic and account manager. She is a recent graduate of the University of Charleston.
