CONNECTICUT Andrew Strauss has joined Group Four Design in Avon as vice president of client services. Strauss will work on the Unilever, Panasonic, Lipton and Helene Curtis accounts. Mintz & Hoke in Avon has promoted Gloria Case to manager of client accounting from billing supervisor, Ericka Ganley to assistant producer from broadcast coordinator and Debbie Van Walsum to business development specialist from executive assistant. Riley and Co. in Meriden has named Lucia Sinopoli account manager and Stephen Roccapriore graphic designer. The BCB Group in Meriden has appointed Bryan Van Epps art director. The agency also has advanced Suzanne White to media buyer. MAINE Dana Williams has been appointed traffic manager and account coordinator at DW Communications Group in Portland. Williams most recently served as manager of creative services at McDonald Communications, also in Portland. MASSACHUSETTS Boston-based Arnold Communications has appointed Linda Seid marketing manager. Circle Interactive, the agency's new media division, has named Jennifer Rivera account supervisor and Sheri Kaufmann senior writer. Rivera will work on the Fleet, Ocean Spray, Northern Light and McDonald's accounts. Kaufmann, most recently marketing manager for Arnold, will work on the Fleet, Ocean Spray, Bell Atlantic and McDonald's accounts. Pagano, Schenck & Kay in Boston has tapped David Register as copywriter. He was previously with McCann-Erickson in Seattle, where he worked on the Powerade, Darigold and Washington State Lottery accounts. Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston has promoted Janet Walker and Debra Frey to account supervisors from account executives and Paige Goodchild to assistant account executive from account coordinator. In addition, the agency has announced the following staff additions: Nicole Schrag, assistant account executive from North Castle Partners in Boston; Melissa Graf, senior account executive from Mullen in Wenham; Sharon Kallander, assistant media planner from Wallwork Curry in Boston; Shauna Harring, account executive from Bronner Slosberg Humphrey in Boston; Kristen DiMascio, broadcast buyer from BBDO in Los Angeles; Jill Govoni, assistant media buyer; and Scott Woolwine, Macintosh production artist. Dana Wantman has joined Greenberg Seronick O'Leary & Partners in Boston as senior account executive. Wantman will work on new business development as well as the LoJack account. In addition, the agency has tapped Beth McCormick as traffic manager and Barbara Greenberg as office manager. McCormick most recently worked at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Greenberg was with the former Cuneo Sullivan Dolabany. Dimond Communications Group in Boston has hired Sara Shapiro as account executive. She had been with Neva Group in Cambridge. Quincy-based Hill & Partners has named David Connor project manager. Donovan Group in Northborough has tapped Suzanne Brandt as account manager and Pam Mecca as designer, both from Champagne/Lafayette Communications in Natick. Cheryl Appleton has joined Finish Editorial in Boston as scheduler. She previously held the same title at Soundtrack in Boston. CC and D Communications in Boston has tapped Jim Wood as art director. Wood most recently was employed with Burgess Advertising in Portland, Maine. The agency also has appointed Cindy Chartrand copywriter. Chartrand was previously a copywriter with Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston. Watertown-based Sterling Hager has announced the following staff additions: Chris Roger, account coordinator, from the Watertown TAB; Lara Gordon, account executive, from Diversified Expositions; Adam Kramer, account coordinator, from the public relations department of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Massachusetts; and Melissa Lohnes, account executive, from Lois Paul & Partners. In addition, Beth Bryant has joined the agency as public relations executive for its high-tech clients. Bryant was most recently a senior account executive with Gray & Rice Public Relations. Kurt Parent, assistant director of operations for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, has been appointed director of operations. He succeeds Charles Pickens, who retired. Harpell/Martins & Co. in Maynard has hired Stephanie Podgorski as senior media planner, Jill Coull as art director, Diana Kiestlinger-Pettis as account administrator for public relations and Susan Duggan as executive assistant. BBK Communications in Newton has promoted Liz Riley to business manager. She reports to the finance department of the healthcare communications agency. Boston-based McKay Fried Public Relations has named K. Matthew Lai manager of marketing services and Tana Christo account executive. Lai previously worked in account services at Austin Knight and Bernard Hodes Advertising. Christo most recently served as a freelance public relations specialist. Prior to that, she worked at public relations shops Regan Communications and Bishoff Solomon Communications, both in Boston. S.R. Weiner and Associates in Chestnut Hill has tapped Liza Mazzotta as marketing director for The Hanover Mall in Hanover. She replaces Vincent Cosco, who was appointed to a similar position at the Maine Mall. Mazzotta was most recently marketing director for the Square One Mall in Saugus. RHODE ISLAND Kristina Newman has joined JVR Communications in East Providence as part of the firm's summer internship program. She is a senior at Providence College.
