Robin Dhoble has signed on with Rapp Collins, New York, as chief operating officer of a new healthcare practice within the shop. The unit, part of Omnicom’s diversified agency services division, will launch in June.
Berlin, Cameron & Partners, New York, has named Greg Davis director of business development. Davis, the former vice president, business development at ABP/Draft Worldwide, is charged with raising the agency’s profile and focusing on new business opportunities.
Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, promoted Joseph DiVirgilio to senior account supervisor, overseeing the development and implementation of retail advertising programs. He was most recently a part of Mower’s account service group, coordinating advertising campaigns and developing flyers, newspaper ads and group mail efforts. Penny L. Gorney also joins the shop as a management supervisor, overseeing account teams and managing relationships with clients such as Carrier and Agway Energy Products.
Creative Film Management, New York, reported the signing of three major Hollywood film directors for exclusive representation in their commercial work: Betty Thomas, whose credits include Private Parts, starring Howard Stern, and the HBO film The Late Shift; Brad Silverberg, whose second film, City of Angels, is currently in release; and John Herzfeld, whose credits include Two Days in the Valley and the HBO film Don King: Only in America.
A&E Television Networks, New York has tapped Mark Furlong as vice president, corporate sales and marketing for Biography magazine.
Furlong will be responsible for organizing and leading all of the publication’s sales activities.
People en Espa-ol, New York, has named John Paterson marketing and sales development director. Paterson will be responsible for developing marketing and advertising sales strategy, as well as identifying new business for the magazine.
Denise Fierro, most recently advertising director of Modern Bride, was named to the new post of associate publisher by Mademoiselle, New York. Also at Mademoiselle, Detroit advertising sales manager Randy Herbertson was promoted to the new post of sales development director; Sally Ellen Jeffries was tapped to replace Herbertson as Detroit sales manager; Susan Webber Gatto was named consumer products director; and Rose De La Vega was appointed health and beauty aids manager.
The Harlem Globetrotters have named Linda King as the team’s vice president of international marketing. King had been vice president, West Coast marketing.

He will play a leading role in developing and implementing the company’s corporate marketing strategy throughout North America. Wiater was formerly manager of advertising and public relations for the Times Mirror Training Group.
