FLORIDA Art director Pedro Vadell, formerly with Avanti-Case in Miami, has moved to BVK/Meka, also in Miami. Diego Naranjo has joined the staff of Zubi Advertising Services in Miami as an assistant account executive. Naranjo comes from Foote, Cone & Belding's Miami office. Stacy Carrasco has arrived at Jacksonville-based St. John & Partners Advertising and Public Relations as an account coordinator. GEORGIA Burt Bagley has progressed to Southeast account manager at The Weather Channel in Atlanta. Bagley had been the Eastern division coordinator for the cable television operation. Kelly Plank was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Uptons in Atlanta. In her new executive position, Plank will oversee the department store's marketing and merchandising activities, among other management responsibilities. Golin/Harris International in Atlanta has added Dominick Infante as a media relations specialist. Infante has spent the last five years as director of communications at the University of Miami's School of Business Administration. Porter Novelli in Atlanta has assigned Leslie Hare to its healthcare accounts and added Kerri Milam as a business-to-business specialist. Carroll/White Advertising in Atlanta has hired Whitney McCoy as an account coordinator. Todd Baker, who has held various marketing posts at World Vision for the past 13 years, has become an account supervisor at Grizzard in Atlanta. Mary Kettler Kapala was appointed an account supervisor at Julie Davis Associates in Atlanta. The agency also advanced Gary Budd to account manager. NewsLetters Plus in Atlanta has welcomed two employees: new media development designer Mark Snyder and writer Margo Hendricks. NORTH CAROLINA Richard French & Associates has recruited four employees for its Raleigh-based operation. The new staff members are: Charles Upchurch, account executive; Heather Monast, media relations associate; Jacque Pierce, executive assistant; and Laura Wright, receptionist. Coyne Beahm in Greensboro has hired Stephanie True as an account executive. True previously worked as an account planner with The Burris Agency in High Point. TENNESSEE The Buntin Group in Nashville has promoted Catherine Hubbard to account coordinator and Angela Moretti to public relations account coordinator. Kim Stewart and Robin Woodward were named senior media buyer and outdoor media operations manager, respectively. The Write Stuff Advertising & Marketing in Knoxville has added graphic designer Charity Roper. Health Communications in Memphis has made two personnel changes. Thomas Lannan has arrived at the company as a senior account executive and John Cooper has been shifted to senior creative services manager. Davis Newman Payne in Knoxville has elevated Chris Helton to vice president of media and media relations and Gray Bearden to senior media director of consumer advertising. Roger Cunningham was recently installed in the newly created position of chief operating officer and director of client services at Image III in Nashville. Cunningham joined the company in 1996 as vice president and director of client services. VIRGINIA The Martin Agency in Richmond has hired Mandy Wong and Carey Nicodemus as administrative assistants, Tricia Schulze as traffic manager and Kim Rentz as project coordinator. Andy Shemeta was promoted from art director to senior art director at Edelmann Scott in Richmond. Shemeta has been with the agency for five years. KSK Communications in Vienna has hired Thomas Hight as art director. Previously, Hight was on staff at E. James White Co. in Herndon. WASHINGTON, D.C. Jennifer White has moved up to vice president and director of client services at AbramsonEhrlichManes. White joined the Washington, D.C.-based advertising agency in 1995.
