Paull comes from Arnold Communications in Boston, where he worked on the Volkswagen Beetle relaunch; Hunt worked on Delta Air Lines and Tide for Saatchi & Saatchi, New York. MVBMS also hired Marc Lodovico, formerly vice president of Arnie Sawyer Studios in New York, as an account executive on the Miramax business. Barbara Laughton was named director of corporate communications and promotions at Jay Advertising in Rochester. She was manager of the Los Angeles office. Vicki Lewis was also appointed director of new business development at Jay. Lewis had been account director on the Eastman Kodak Co. business at Saatchi & Saatchi. Jennifer Balon has joined Eric Mower and Associates, Rochester, as traffic manager. Balon comes from Automotive Executive, where she was production coordinator. EMA has also added Angela Blackwell as senior account executive, public relations and Doug Brayer as an account executive on the Applebee's, Arby's, Bruegger's and Nazareth College accounts. Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, New York, has hired two staffers for its health and medical practice: Virginia Hall was named associate on the Wyeth-Ayerst team and Yen Cheong was hired as a junior associate, also on the Wyeth-Ayerst business. Laura Chait has been promoted to director of marketing and promotions of Channel One Network in New York. She was manager of marketing and promotions. Essence magazine, New York, has named Candice Jacko Eastern advertising sales manager. She was senior account executive for the beauty, fashion and toiletries category at the magazine. Estƒe Pouleris has been promoted to production manager at Platinum Design in New York. She was studio manager. New Jersey The Star Group, Cherry Hill, has tapped Lynn Hoban as a vice president, management supervisor. Hoban comes from Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia, where she managed accounts for clients such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Roy Rogers restaurants, and Domino's Pizza. Linett & Harrison in Millburn hired Joanna Mendizabal as account executive. Previously, she was at Mars Advertising in Southfield, Mich., and J. Walter Thompson in New York. George Chamak was also hired as production graphic artist. In his most recent position, Chamak produced materials for a non-profit educational organization. pennsylvania Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications in Philadelphia elevated eight staff members: Mark Nolan was promoted to senior vice president, creative director; Ira Baeringer was appointed account supervisor; Anita Belsole was named vice president, account supervisor; Angela Colona and Sue Heiler were tapped as senior account executives; John Lambdin was elevated to account supervisor; Leigh Murray was named account executive; and Sharon Jasper was tapped as finance director.
