Bates Worldwide has promoted Jean de Yturbe, Ian Smith and Bill Whitehead, all executive directors of parent Cordiant Communications Group, to group presidents, with new responsibilities. De Yturbe will be responsible for CCG business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Smith will be responsible for Asia and Australia, and will oversee existing and new global business. Whitehead will handle North and South America, and will be responsible for developing CCG’s recent acquisition, Diamond Ad, Hyundai’s house ad agency based in Korea, into an international agency.
Sterling Group, New York, has appointed Jeffrey Wolfson president, Strategy Group. Most recently, he was president, Strategic Applications Group, at Ryan Partnership, an integrated marketing-services company in Westport, Conn.
Wunderman Cato Johnson has made four executive-level, Europe/Middle East/Africa-region appointments. Martin Colyer joins the agency’s London office as chief financial officer, EMEA; he was previously finance and administration director at the Europe, Africa and Middle East division of Pitney Bowes. Rowan Jackson was named managing director, human resources and organizational development for EMEA, a new position, and is based in London; he was most recently a director at Banner McBride. Emmanuel des Moutis was hired as president of the shop’s Paris office; most recently, he was deputy general manager at Tag-Heuer. And Martin Tyler-Bennett was appointed managing director, database marketing services; he is based in London.
Epb.communications in New York has promoted Carla Koeffler from partner, strategic development to partner, director of corporate communications.
Griffin Bacal has appointed Diana Clark account executive, working on the iBaby, Mott’s and Partnership for a Drug-Free America businesses. She arrives at the New York shop from Upshot, also New York, where she was account manager.
The Romann Group has appointed Jonathan Cope senior strategic analyst at the agency’s e-commerce division, with responsibilities for e-commerce strategy, branding and the shop’s move toward broadband creative. Before arriving at the New York agency, Cope worked with a broadband-development company in Philadelphia, mostly on e-commerce business solutions for entertainment companies.
Mark Russell & Associates in Syracuse has promoted Tom Collins to associate creative director. Most recently, he was creative supervisor.
Lisa Skriloff was named a member of The Academy of Women Achievers, Class of 1999, by the YWCA, New York City chapter. Skriloff is president of New York-based Multicultural Marketing Resources.
Worth Media in New York has announced two new appointments.
Roger Antin was named the publisher of Civilization magazine, replacing Quentin Walz, who has joined Global Music Network. Antin was formerly vice president and managing director at Paladin, a professional-staffing company in Chicago. Suzanne Keighley was named the Southeast manager at Civilization; she was previously the director of the Eastern region at American Express Educational Financing.
Emerald City Media Services in New York has hired two staffers. Rob Glazer was named director of sales, marketing and new business development; he was previously director
of sales/marketing at Entertainers Basketball Classic. Paul Pawlowski was named senior producer/editor; he was most recently staff producer at NBA Entertainment.
The board of directors of DMDNY in New York has announced that George Wiedemann, chairman/CEO at Grey Direct Marketing Group, will serve as general chairman of Direct Marketing Days at New York’s 35th Annual Marketing Conference and Exposition, which will be held May 22-25 at the Hilton New York & Towers Hotel.
Creative Healthcare Solutions has promoted Dan Twibell to group director. Most recently, he was senior associate at the Saratoga Springs agency.
The Condƒ Nast Publications, New York, has named James Baker deputy editor of Glamour magazine. He was most recently senior editor of Us magazine.
Creative Marketing Plus has named Scott Messinger managing director, a new position. Prior to joining the New York shop, he was executive director of account services at the former Lowe & Partners/SMS, as well as a consultant to other marketers and ad agencies.

DKB and Partners has hired Beth Budelman as media supervisor. Before joining the Morristown agency, she was a media supervisor at The Lunar Group in Mountain Lakes.
The Star Group has named John Wannenburg vice president/account supervisor at Star/Rosen Public Relations. Before joining the Cherry Hill, N.J., agency, he was vice president in charge of corporate public relations at Aramark. In addition, The Star Group has promoted Roland Piccioni to vice president of production services. He was most recently a production manager at the shop.
Gelia Direct, the direct-marketing arm of Gelia Wells & Mohr in Clarence, has promoted two staffers. Alvin Adler was named telemarketing manager; he was previously quality control manager. And Alexander Frank was named quality control manager; most recently, he was a communication team leader.
Camanco Communications, formerly Solar Communications Group, the developer of the PCRoomLink in-room PC and business-traveler productivity system, has promoted Susan Schneider to the new position of senior vice president of marketing. Schneider has headed the marketing efforts for both Camanco and PCRoomLink at the Millville company.
Princeton Partners in Princeton has named Jodie Hein account executive. She was formerly an assistant media planner at J. Walter Thompson in New York.
DVC, Morristown, has appointed Cynthia Brandon account executive, with responsibilities for managing the development and execution of promotional marketing programs for Perdue Farms. Most recently, she was assistant account executive at Young & Rubicam in New York.

Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia has named Karen Coffey senior vice president, direct marketing. She was most recently senior vice president, account director at Brann Blau, Wilton, Conn.
Timmons & Co. has named Vince Sorce creative director. Prior to joining the Doylestown shop, he was senior art director at New York’s Ogilvy & Mather.
Agnew & Corrigan has hired Mike Zban as art director. Prior to joining the Lancaster agency, he was art director at Stoner Bunting Advertising.
Ted Thomas Associates in Philadelphia has named James Foreman vice president, strategic marketing. He was previously director, health management sales and marketing at Merck-Medco Managed Care.
Stoner Bunting Advertising hired five staffers. Jo Harnish was named production manager; most recently, she was divisional vice president of production at the Bon Ton Department Stores. Michelle Snyder joined the Lancaster shop as senior account executive; she was formerly director of marketing and public relations at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg. Christine Barbera has arrived as assistant account executive; she was formerly at Donovan Advertising.
