Martino & Binzer, Avon, has hired Laurie Noyes as media director and Melanie McMillan as director of public relations. Noyes most recently worked at O’Neal & Prelle, Hartford. McMillan served as a public relations account supervisor at Mintz & Hoke, Avon.
Sharon Merrill Associates in Boston has tapped Andrea Malinsky, Robert Pease and Paul Sagan as account executives and Erica Smith as an account specialist. Malinsky joined the company from Revlon Consumer Products Corp., where she developed international corporate and marketing communications programs. Pease most recently served as executive director of the Princeton-in-Asia program. Sagan was previously an assistant vice president of an international investor relations consultancy and a corporate communications manager with Thermo Electron Corp. The Boston Beer Co. has promoted Roberta Merkel to vice president of brand development. Merkel will oversee the development of all marketing communications for Samuel Adams and will work with the brand managers of Oregon Ale & Beer Co. and HardCore Cider Co., two divisions of the Boston company. Merkel was previously director of brand development.
