TEXAS The Parker & Wood Association, located in San Antonio, added two staffers to handle automotive, healthcare, tourism and retail accounts. Tim Patrick, formerly of Patrick Salter Marketing in San Antonio, was named associate account executive for the Dallas Market Center account and World Wide Web site projects. Also, Jeanette Sigler Draves joined the agency as account executive after serving as marketing manager for Bradfield Properties, a San Antonio real estate company. Draves also owned DemoGraphics, a marketing firm in San Antonio. RF Monolithics, Dallas, appointed David Kirk vice president of marketing and acting vice president of sales. Kirk was recently director of marketing for Murata Electronics North America, headquartered in Smyrna, Ga. Former national account manager Kerri Sibley was promoted to vice president of marketing at American Pad & Paper Co. in Dallas. Erin Lee became public relations assistant with Paige Hendricks Public Relations, Fort Worth. Lee previously worked as a freelancer in the Dallas area. Nephele Papadopoulos was tapped as promotions director at Patrick Henry Creative Promotions, Houston. Papa-dopoulos previously was banquet coordinator at Pappasito's Cantina, Houston. Universal Sports America, Dallas, advanced four individuals in its Streetball Partners International division: Drue Carney to senior vice president of events; Mike Vajda to NHL Breakout project director; Steven Schneider to Spike-It-Up project director; and Chaney Muench to Toyota Golf Skills Challenge project director. Thomas Comerford was named director of sales at KXTX-Channel 39, Dallas, while Valerie Bonney was hired as national sales manager. Vollmer Public Relations, Houston, recently added two senior level employees: management supervisor John Taylor, who served as senior communications specialist and project manager at STP Nuclear Operating Co. in Bay City; and account supervisor Pat Frank, a former communications manager at Houston Lighting & Power. Account coordinator David Harrell and account executive Melissa Bebell joined the staff of Meltzer & Martin Public Relations in Dallas. Previously, Harrell was a public relations intern for Streetball Partners International in Dallas. Bebell arrived from her public relations coordinator post at Neiman Marcus Prestonwood in Richardson. Ha-Lo Marketing and Promotions of Dallas designated Shannon Rudisill executive sales consultant. Rudisill was an interior design assistant with Dallas-based Divine Designs. Oldfield Davis, Dallas, hired senior account executive Diane Fullingim and senior art director Kim Keller. Fullingim previously was at The Northway Group, Dallas, while Keller was at Siboney USA, also Dallas. Houston-based Rhymes & Co. promoted account and traffic coordinator Lori Shultz to account executive. The company also hired two new staff members: assistant art director Scott Janacek, formerly graphics designer at Soileau and Associates, Houston; and recent college graduate Stephanie Rubio, who will assume Shultz's former position. Regnier, Valdez & Associates, San Antonio, elevated public relations specialist Christopher O'Connell to marketing communications supervisor. Max Paton was hired as director of international sales and marketing at HK Medical Technologies, San Antonio. Valic, the Houston-based retirement services division of American General Corp., promoted senior vice president of marketing Joe Osborne to executive vice president in that department. The company also moved up vice president Charles Robinson to senior vice president of institutional marketing. Mary Raines joined research firm Across America, Dallas, as national marketing director. Beckett Publications, a Dallas-based company, elevated marketing director Margaret Steele to a vice president's post. Dallas-based Gugel Advertising recently made five staff additions to its media department: broadcast buyer Martin Bush, broadcast assistant Traci Hazlewood, traffic assistant Margaret Whitehead, added value manager Mary Clay Hernandez and assistant media planner Matt Powell. The Laster Group, El Paso, hired Jessica Eveler as client service representative. Barry Brooks joined the staff of SicolaMartin, Austin, as senior technical developer, a newly created post at the agency. Brooks comes to SicolaMartin from Planet Texas, also Austin. TateAustin, Austin, brought in account executive David Shaw to serve clients Del Webb, Wayne Dresser and Austin Energy. Shaw previously was account supervisor at Temerlin McClain Public Relations, Irving, and an account executive at Austin's Public Strategies. DDB Needham Dallas promoted account directors Melanie Angermann and Brian Dunbar to group account director positions. ARKANSAS Sean Harrison moved to Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, Little Rock, as public relations account executive. Harrison previously worked in the public relations department at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fayetteville. LOUISIANA Edward Zenk accepted the role of vice president of sales and marketing at Karts International, Roseland. Judy O. Williams Public Relations in Shreveport promoted Francesca Benten to vice president of client relations. Benten was formerly senior account manager at the company. OKLAHOMA Logix Communications, Oklahoma City, named Meskerem Girma research marketing coordinator and Amy McGlory public relations coordinator. World Airport Inns, Oklahoma City, appointed Allan Reeves director of sales and marketing.
