CONNECTICUT Marquardt & Roche/Meditz & Hackett in Stamford has promoted Will Lovell to art director from assistant art director. Lovell, who joined M&R/M&H as a graphic designer in 1996, works on several of the shop's major accounts, including Fuji Medical Systems, Crystal Rock Water Co., SwissRe and Copper Development Association. Adams & Knight Communications in Avon has named Brenda Barch senior designer and Bob Winters production manager. Barch, who specializes in packaging design, collateral and corporate identity, comes from Group Four Design, also in Avon. Winters, a 20-year veteran in the print industry, has worked for Lithographics and W.E. Andrews. MASSACHUSETTS Dickinson Direct in Braintree has hired David Heaney as vice president of market development. Heaney was formerly president of Vantage Deluxe World Travel, a catalog and direct mail company in Brookline. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Epsilon in Burlington. In addition, Dickinson Direct has promoted Jennifer Lupo to account manager from associate account manager and Don Skinner to network administrator from network support analyst. During her year at the company, Lupo has played a major role in the development of the Claritin account. Buyer Advertising, Newton, has promoted Loretta LaCamera and Linda Rau. LaCamera, a credit manager for six years, is now vice president of finance and administration. Rau, an accounts payable manager for 12 years, has been named director of purchasing. Bentley College, Waltham, has appointed Peggy Barresi to the newly created position of executive director of marketing and communications. Barresi comes from Cone, Boston, where she headed the agency's consumer products division. During the past five years, she created and implemented strategic marketing and communications programs for Betty Crocker, Avon, Dunkin' Donuts, Gillette, Glaxo-Wellcome and Crayola. Prior to Cone, Barresi spent five years as marketing communications manager at Tufts Health Plans. Arrow Direct in Woburn has appointed Dan Driscoll data processing manager. Pagano Schenck & Kay in Boston has named Pam Millard management supervisor and Laura Miller creative services manager. Millard previously worked at Ingalls in Boston as an account supervisor, managing Citizens Bank and John Hancock Mutual Funds. Prior to Ingalls, she worked in account services at McCann-Erickson Worldwide in Seattle and launched an award-winning campaign for the Washington Mutual in California and Florida. Miller, who will help run the traffic department and assist in production and art buying, formerly served as traffic manager for Berenson Isham & Partners in Boston. Arrco Medical Advertising in Norwood has added Tala Hastings to its account service team. Hastings, who previously served as a marketing associate at medical device manufacturer Radionics in Burlington, will oversee advertising, branding and public relations campaigns for Mitek Products. Mitek is a division of Ethico--a Johnson & Johnson company--that specializes in the manufacture and design of surgical devices for sports-related injuries. Steve Blumberg has been appointed director of creative services at the J.M. Perrone Co./Direct in Hingham. He was director of new business development for Inside Technology Training magazine, a Ziff-Davis publication. Blumberg also served as publisher/editor of CBT Solutions magazine and the annual CBT Report, which tracks the technology-based training industry.
