NEW YORKThe Ad Council in New York has named Constance Gerard vice president and director of human resources; she previously served as the human resources director for Trinity Real Estate. In addition, the organization has hired two new media managers: Kelly Apostolidis, who has been named manager of national media development, and John Boal, who joins as the West Coast media outreach manager. Apostolidis formerly worked as the manager of commercial clearance at Fox Family Worldwide, and Boal most recently was an advertising and public relations consultant representing local nonprofits, such as The Salvation Army and Educate the Children Foundation.Ziccardi & Partners has named Lori Sheppard associate creative director. She joins the New York agency from WCJ/ Young & Rubicam, where she was a senior copywriter on Quicken, U.S. Postal Service and V8.Gotham Broadband in New York has named Rebecca Paoletti vice president of strategy and programming. She formerly was senior director of programming and editor-in-chief of Road Runner, the joint venture among Time Warner, MediaOne, Microsoft, Compaq and Advance/Newhouse.Cohn & Wolfe has appointed Donna Imperato CEO, heading its flagship New York office. She re- places Diane Perlmutter, who was CEO of the New York office for the past two years. Imperato formerly ran the company's healthcare practice.Andy Hirsch, co-creative director and partner at Merkley Newman Harty in New York, has been named judging chairman for the 2000 International Automotive Advertising Awards. The IAAA entry deadline is Oct. 15. NEW JERSEYThe Star Group in Cherry Hill has named three of its vice presidents partners: Maria Antonelli, vice president, director of client service, Lynn Hoban, vice president, director of new business, and Mary Padula, vice president and media director.Gillespie in Princeton has hired seven new staffers. Miguelangel Ferry has joined its direct marketing division as associate creative director; he previously worked at Editora El Siglo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he was design director for publications that included El Siglo and La Nación. Cate Hunter has arrived at the direct marketing division as art director, working on accounts such as Fidelity, Household and Employee Matters; she formerly was an art director at M&M Associates in Yardley, Pa. Nina Pruitt has joined the healthcare marketing division as senior vice president, account director; she most recently worked at RTC Direct in Washington, D.C. Timothy O'Connor has been hired at the agency's advertising division as graphic artist; he is a recent graduate of The College of New Jersey in Ewing. Heena Desai has arrived at the accounting division as data entry clerk; she previously worked at Apple Leasing Tech in Bombay, India. Howard Edwards has arrived at the accounting division as staff accountant; he previously was the head cashier/ac- countant at Princeton University in Princeton. Lisa Steinberg has joined the advertising division as account supervisor, working on accounts that include ICT Group and Safilo; she formerly was the mid-Atlan- tic region's marketing communication manager at Omnipoint Communications in Bensalem, Pa. PENNSYLVANIAFCF Schmidt Public Relations has named Steven Grossman an account executive. He is responsible for coordinating all public relations activities for International Banking Technologies at the Plymouth Meeting-based agency.
