Garcia previously served as a political management consultant and a chief committee clerk for the Texas House of Representatives. Brink's Home Security, Irving, tapped Katherine Kosciewicz as director of customer relations She joins from First USA in Dallas. Temerlin McClain, Irving, made the following new appointments: management supervisor Suzanne Curtis, account executive Brandi Jones, senior print buyer Pat Dehn, print media estimator Jeannette Krueger, talent and residual coordinator Jan Swoboda and media supervisors Christie Lane and Glen Ryan. In the agency's relationship marketing department, new staffers added to the personnel roster include management supervisor Deb Coulson and account supervisors Carla Murray-Wolfe and Laura Muriby. Patti Smith was hired as associate creative director at Stuart Bacon, Fort Worth. Previously, Smith was creative director at The Balcom Agency, also Fort Worth, and had served as senior art director for other Fort Worth agencies. DesignWorks Advertising Group in Wichita Falls brought in account executive Allison Burkeholder McGough and media buyer Shannon Norris, both of whom have recently completed their college studies. The shop also promoted several other employees, awarding new titles to account supervisor Erika Newson, art department manager Jan Noel-Smith, account executive Kristi Brozek Kekuna and public relations and promotions coordinator Samantha Adams Phillips. Hadeler Sullivan & Law Advertising, Dallas, welcomed associate creative director Richard Batt and assistant account executive Jay Friedman and promoted assistant media planner Leslie Czarnecky to media planner. Batt was formerly senior copywriter at Temerlin McClain in Irving; Friedman was at Young & Rubicam in Detroit and Leo Burnett S.A. de C.V. in Mexico City. Ogilvy & Mather, Houston, elevated media director Ann Cochran to agency partnership status. The shop also completed two new hires: account supervisor Kevin Welborn and senior copywriter Mark Schildberg. Welborn was previously with Fogarty Klein & Partners, Houston, while Schildberg arrives from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, advertising agency Creswell, Munsell, Fultz & Zirbel. In Houston, Stan & Lou Advertising hired copywriter Kyle Jones and charged him with creative and new business duties. Jones is a former employee at both MC2 in Austin and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles' office in New York. R.J. Kolar Advertising and Marketing, Austin, added account supervisors Pat Roeling, previously senior account executive at Haljohn Marketing & Public Relations of Austin, and Deborah Nations, formerly of DDB Needham Dallas and Tocquigny Advertising & Design, also Austin. CS Creative in Dallas installed Gregory Blaksley as a member of its senior design staff. Blaksley, who will handle project management, design and art direction responsibilities at CS Creative, previously served as design manager with Shelton Communications Group. He was also vice president of marketing at Oak Lawn Community Services. American Pad & Paper, Dallas, appointed Mark Lipscomb vice president of corporate communications. In that role, Lipscomb will head the company's investor relations, public relations and employee communications operations. He recently was director of investor relations at STMicroelectronics. Lyrick Studios, Richardson, named Noel Resnick senior vice president of development and acquisition. ARKANSAS Stone & Ward in Little Rock recruited media director Debra Reid from another Little Rock agency. The shop also added designer Jodie Daniels and associate designer Whitney Garrett, a recent college graduate. Daniels has worked at other Little Rock shops as an art director and designer. Little Rock-based Sells/Clark employed Dusty Townsend as a production artist. Townsend previously held the same job title at Martin & Martin, also located in Little Rock, and once served as a production artist for S&H Printing and Valley Graphics in Arkadelphia. OKLAHOMA Kristen Catron was named director of regional sports marketing for StadiaNet Sports, Tulsa. Catron came from an account service assistant post at Butler & Butler Advertising, also Tulsa.
