Roy Clason was appointed vice president of corporate communications for Dell Computer Corp. in Round Rock. Prior to joining Dell, Clason served as vice president of global communications for MasterCard International in New York.
The Point Group, Dallas, hired senior account executive Richard Taylor Jr. to manage the corporate and crisis communications unit of the agency and promoted public relations editor Kevin McKeever to senior account executive in its business-to-business communications department. Taylor most recently was senior account executive with BSMG/Southwest, Irving.
Shana Sonnier was elevated to promotion director at KRBE-FM, Houston. Sonnier has been a programming assistant at the radio station since 1996.
Hadeler Sullivan & Law in Dallas made some recent personnel changes. Joining the shop are account team leader Shannon Summers and account executive Wendy Hughes. Summers, formerly account supervisor at Temerlin McClain in Irving, will head accounts for Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Park Place Automotive Group, Tony Roma’s and Subway. Hughes arrived from The Focus Agency in Dallas. In addition, HS&L promoted media planner David Young to account executive on the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, American Suzuki and Mr. Rooter accounts.
The Price Communications Group, Lubbock, hired account executive Jennifer Burns and print media buyer Kristin Kime. Both are recent graduates of Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Springbok Technologies, Richardson, promoted account executive Suzanne Schaffler to senior account executive. She will be involved in new business activities.
Dallas-based M/C/C designated James Florez and Don Carroll account services directors, overseeing all agency account managers and business strategy at the high-tech marketing shop. Florez previously served as account manager at the shop. Carroll arrives from Ogilvy & Mather in Houston.
S&C Advertising & Public Relations, San Antonio, hired regional account executive Wilson McKinney, a former reporter, columnist and editor for the San Antonio Express-News.
The Forbes Group, Dallas, appointed Kasia Ochs to the vice president of account service post that includes oversight of the company’s Pizza Hut franchisee groups business. Ochs, formerly an account director, has been with the agency for five years.
Polygon Multi-Faceted Communications of Dallas named Bob Schweinsberg media director, Melissa Outman production services director and Ken Womack vice president and creative director.
Mindi Gibbs was tapped as account services director for Edge Systems, Dallas. Gibbs previously was account manager at the firm.
Blackwood Martin/CJRW, Fayetteville, installed Stephen Cassar as production artist and Susan Margrave-Sissom as proofreader. Cassar, a native of Australia, was an art director for Kirby Marketing Services in Melbourne. Margrave-Sissom was recently an instructor at Remington College in Fayetteville.
