McCann-Erickson North America, headquartered in New York, has promoted chief financial officer George Recine to executive vice president from senior vice president.
TBWA Worldwide, headquartered in New York, named Mike Amour executive vice president, director of business development. He was most recently the agency network’s managing director, Europe, based in Paris. Amour will be based in New York and serve on TBWA’s newly created worldwide board of directors.
Paul Woolmington, president, media operations at Young & Rubicam and The Media Edge, was named president of the first Media Lions jury at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.
Scott Lackey joined Grace & Rothschild, New York, as an account director on the Dreyfus business. He comes from McCann-Erickson, where he was senior vice president, group director on Lucent Technologies.
Molly McMahon was promoted to account executive at Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse. James Arnold also joined the agency as an assistant account executive.
Creative Media, New York, made several changes to its senior management: Mickey Marks was promoted to executive vice president, east; John Curran was elevated to executive vice president, national broadcast; Harry Keeshan joined the company as senior vice president, national broadcast; and Enza Veltri Chiodi advanced to vice president, group media director.
Debbie Isola was promoted to vice president, media director at Independent Media, New York. She joined the firm in January as director, local television and radio.
Media Logic in Albany made several staff changes. Peggy Conway-Robertson was promoted to vice president, senior art director; Jay Feit was elevated to vice president, director of print services; Tracy Perkins was named graphic artist; Marisa Kim was hired as a senior account executive; Guido Baratta joined the shop as art director; and Randy Burge was appointed vice president, director of strategic planning.
Omnicom Group, New York, tapped several executives for its newly formed Accel Healthcare Communications unit. Risa Janoff Bernstein was named president; she had been a marketing consultant. Joining her are managing partner, advertising Charlene Prounis, formerly senior vice president, marketing director at Grey Healthcare; managing director/ chief creative officer John Hegquist, who previously held that title at Grey Healthcare; and managing partner, education Andrea Seiden, formerly a senior vice president at Cliggott Communications.
The New York Times Co. Magazine Group promoted six ad sales staffers:
Dan Govern was named vice president and national sales director for Golf Digest; Chris Wightman moved up to national sales director, overseeing consumer and travel business for Golf Digest and Golf Digest Woman; Ed Butler advanced to southeast sales director; Rick Hall was elevated to national resort and travel manager; Dan Robertson was appointed advertising director for Golf Shop Operations; and John Donnelly was promoted to New York manager.
Keyes Martin, East Hanover, named Steve Adams president of its advertising group. He will retain his group creative director post.
Anne Marie D’Elia was hired as an account executive at Block Advertising, Verona. She will handle accounts in the healthcare, business technology and financial services industries.
Several staff changes were made in the interactive division at Godfrey Advertising in Lancaster: Matt Hollenbach was named manager of the programming department; Betsy Noullet and Laura Stocker were promoted to team leader; Nathanael Waite was elevated to systems analyst; Celeste Everhart was hired as production manager; James Gilbert and Will Younger were hired as art directors; Barbara Searles was named account executive; and Andy Mansur, Doug Buch, and Michael Leonard joined the shop as programmers.
O’Neal & Prelle in Hartford has named Marjorie Medzela account supervisor and Ben Reyes media buyer. Medzela had been a vice president at Avid in East Hartford. Reyes was a broadcast negotiator at TeleVest in New York. O’Neal has also promoted Erica Donahue to account executive from public relations account coordinator.
Osprey Communications, Greenwich, hired three staffers: Richard Snow was named director, sales and new business strategies, Laura Bowes Traynor was appointed account supervisor and Paul Pagnucco was hired as production manager.
Southport-based Strategic Design promoted Deborah Caldwell to office manager.
