In April, Carmichael Lynch chairman-ceo Lee Lynch accepted his second American Association of Advertising Agencies A+ Creative Excellence Award in three years, signalling that agencies that are peers and competitors have recognized his Minneapolis shop as a major creative force. Potential clients are taking notice as well. The agency steadily has increased its presence in national pitches as work for Harley-Davidson and Rollerblade has captured attention at award shows.
‘Good work begets good work and high standards beget higher standards,’ Lynch said. ‘I think when people see our body of work, they realize we do really creative work for clients of every size. That’s when potential clients get excited and think we might be able to do it for them.’
Staffers says Lynch, an affable, eccentric character who always wears green, embodies agency’s creative spirit.
