Like old soldiers, old television sitcoms never die. But they don’t even have the good sense to fade away.

Gilligan’s Island this week moves from the uncharted desert isle of syndication to Illinois, where the program is the theme of a new instant-win lottery game. Characters Gilligan, the Skipper, the Professor, Thurston Howell and wife Lovey, and Mary Ann are each pictured on Illinois Lottery tickets. Top prize is $10,000, which can buy more than a three-hour tour on most excursion boats.

The characters also appear–via clips from the series–in television and print advertising for the game from Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago.
