Minihan Moves to ISM

BOSTON Bob Minihan has been named executive creative director at ISM. Minihan replaces Michael Jacobs, who departed in October.

“They’re strong in direct marketing and database, my job is to bring my department up to [that level],” said Minihan.

Previously, Minihan was co-creative director at independent Partners & Simons in Boston, where he worked on accounts such as Brooks Pharmacy, HP Hood, Pioneer Funds and Polaroid.

He has also served as executive creative director at Boston-based Holland Mark, which closed in 2001. (Partners & Simons absorbed some staff and clients from Holland Mark as the latter ceased operations.) Minahan has collected industry awards from Cannes, Clio and The One Show.

At ISM, an independently owned travel and hospitality specialty shop, Minihan will work across all agency accounts including American Express, Barbados Tourism and the Massachusetts Port Authority.

“We didn’t just hire Bob because of his creative abilities. We brought him in because of his leadership skills,” said Gary Leopold, president and chief executive of ISM in Boston, in a statement.
