Midway Seeks ‘Mortal Kombat’ Licensees





CHICAGO – Video arcade game giant Midway Manufacturing Co. is seeking TV, film and licensing partners for its controversial Mortal Kombat game. Acclaim’s home video version of the game shipped 2.2 million units on Sept. 13, the day it was released. Danny Simon, president of The Licensing Group, Los Angeles, is handling licensing and says deals have been struck in the apparel, lunch box and board game categories.
