Michelotti Elected Chair of AAF

CHICAGO Leo Burnett general counsel Carla Michelotti will be named chair of the American Advertising Federation at its annual meeting this weekend, according to the Washington, D.C.-based group.

Michelotti will succeed Mark Dacey, senior client partner of Korn/Ferry International’s media and entertainment sector, in the position. Jack Griffin, president and publisher of Parade magazine, will be elected vice chair. The AAF’s national conference is scheduled for June 4-7.

Recently named Chicago’s 2003 Adwoman of the Year, Michelotti has long served as chair of the AAF government affairs committee. She joined Burnett in 1979 and is currently the general counsel of Leo Burnett Worldwide, as well as a member of the agency’s U.S. board of directors.
