BEAVERTON, ORE. – For the Super Bowl, Nike Inc. will return its mega-endorser Michael Jordan to ‘toondom’ with a 90-second, mega-special-effects-enhanced spot pitting His Airness against cartoon character Marvin the Martian on Mars. The ad continues Nike’s relationship with Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes characters, following up the company’s Super Bowl spot of last year which teamed Jordan with Bugs Bunny, a.k.a. Hare Jordan. The spot will re-air in February during the NBA All-Star Game, then a 60-second version will pick up Nike’s regular media slate through March.
