MGH Promotes Skandalis to Partner, EVP

ATLANTA Mike Skandalis has been named a partner at MGH, the shop said.

Skandalis, 33, previously senior vice president and associate media director, becomes executive vice president and partner, supervising the agency’s daily operations. He shares media director duties with Jane Goldstrom, also a partner in the Baltimore shop.

Skandalis is the sixth partner in the independent agency. The other five are Andy Malis, president; Terra Hopson, creative director; John Patterson, co-creative director; Mike O’Brien, director of public relations; and Goldstrom. Patterson and O’Brien were added as partners last May.

Skandalis joined MGH as a senior media planner in April 1998. He was promoted to associate media director in 2002. The shop said Skandalis has been instrumental in tripling the size of the shop’s media department and expanding its media account with Papa John’s Pizza from one cooperative to 17 co-ops that include 517 total stores. MGH said it plans and buys media for more Papa John’s Pizza outlets than any agency in the nation.

“Mike is a great asset to the company and he consistently has shown his commitment to growing and strengthening both the media department and the agency as a whole,” Malis said. “I am proud to welcome him as a partner and look forward to the valuable contributions he will undoubtedly continue to offer.”
