The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments has issued a request for proposal for help in marketing its Commuter Connections program.
The first-year budget for the marketing campaign is $420,000.
The council, representing local governments in the Washington, D.C., area, focuses on regional issues such as transportation, air and water quality as well as population growth.
The Commuter Connections program attempts to provide travel alternatives, such as ride-share, to area residents.
Requests for proposals, including agency credentials, marketing approach, cost estimates and references, must be returned no later than 2 p.m.
