NEW YORK–Mike Haggerty, most recently the media director at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, New York, has been named svp, managing director at sister Havas Advertising shop Media Planning, as the French advertising company aims to consolidate all U.S. media operations under one roof by the fall.

Boston-based Arnold Communications will be the last Havas agency to have its media department absorbed into Media Planning.

In his new role, Haggerty will continue to oversee all accounts originating from MVBMS, including MCI/Worldcom, Intel, Volvo, and Schering Plough.
