Merge Suits After Six Tuxes

ATLANTA After Six has chosen Merge to develop a corporate image campaign, according to the agency.

The Atlanta shop said it was chosen following a review that included Adrenaline of Arlington, Va. Merge is charged with developing a new brand identity for the Athens, Ga., formalwear maker via advertising aimed at a young demographic.

Merge also said it would perform market research and create Web initiatives for the client. Ted Mayer, vice president of sales for After Six, said the goal of the campaign would be taking the company to “the next level.”

“Merge has the right balance of marketing know-how and creative punch,” Mayer added. “I’m excited to see where we can go from here.”

After Six is the oldest tuxedo maker in the country and, with FCGI and Lord West, one of the top three marketers, according to Merge. The company has previously handled its advertising in-house.

Michael Taylor, chief executive officer and creative director at Merge, said that After Six’s determination to address significant marketing challenges makes it an ideal client.

“Our market research and brand strategy, coupled with solid creative execution, will definitely move the [sales] needle for After Six,” Taylor added.
