Carlos Mendez has joined Los Angeles-based Hispanic advertising agency Castells & Asociados as executive vice president, chief creative officer. In this role, Mendez will spearhead the agency’s “business-building ideas with an edge” creative philosophy on accounts ranging from McDonald’s and Safeway to Comcast and Health Net. Most recently evp, CCO at Y&R Bravo Group’s MD, Mendez has more than 20 years of multinational, Hispanic and general-market experience as ecd at shops including Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett, Chicago, and Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson, Puerto Rico.
