Barkley Evergreen & Partners has hired Steve McGehee as senior vice president, group account leader on its Sonic Drive-In business. McGhee will be responsible for developing all of the Tulsa, Okla., company’s brand messaging and will oversee the Kansas City, Mo., agency’s integrated marketing efforts on behalf of the client. Prior to joining BE&P, McGehee was vice president of marketing for Denny’s Corp. He also has worked on the agency side, leading Publicis North America’s TGI Friday’s account. In addition, McGehee has developed brand strategy for Metromedia Restaurants (Ponderosa, Bonanza) and YUM! Brands.
