CHICAGO McDonald’s is gearing up to launch its campaign in support of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games with a number of promotions and competitions.

The Oak Brook, Ill.-based fast-food chain plans on promoting its “Greek Mac” sandwich and to build three full-service restaurants in Athens that will remain open throughout the Games. The “Greek Mac” has two burgers wrapped in a soft pita with yogurt sauce, tomatoes, lettuce and onions.

McDonald’s, one of the worldwide sponsors of the Olympics, will also conduct a “Big Mac Building Contest” and select an “Olympic Champion Crew” from employee competitions at participating restaurants around the world.
