IPG’s McCann Erickson in Los Angeles announced today that it has appointed three executives to its leadership team, the first senior-level hires since Cathy Saidiner joined the agency in late 2008 as president. Christian Cocker (shown) has been tapped as svp, director of account planning. Cocker will lead the strategic planning department. Michael Rice joins as svp, director of digital. He is charged with further strengthening the agency’s new-media capabilities, including strategy and production, and he will play a key role in business development and talent recruitment. The third addition is Joe Bock, who joins as svp, group account director for Nestlé, a business that includes the Nesquik, Coffee-mate and Nescafe/Taster’s Choice brands. The hires “are the ideal fit to strengthen our current client relationships and provide the smartest mix of solutions to new clients,” said Saidiner.
