McCann Erickson has hired digital exec Hank Summy as North American president, filling the vacancy left by former president Robert LePlae's mid-September exit, the agency announced Friday.
Starting in November, Summy, previously the managing director for SapientNitro's Eastern regional offices, will first focus on McCann's flagship New York shop. He will ultimately oversee all of McCann's eight locations across the United States and Canada.
Summy will report to McCann Worldgroup Chairman and CEO Nick Brien, who emphasized Summy's tech chops in a statement accompanying the news.
