McCann Is Chosen to Introduce DuPont’s Invista

NEW YORK Invista, the newly renamed textiles division of DuPont, has awarded creative duties to roster shop McCann-Erickson, the client said.

The Interpublic Group agency will launch a campaign in the fourth quarter introducing the new entity. McCann will also handle b-to-b marketing.

The win came after a review of undisclosed agencies. Billings on the account were also undisclosed.

In 2002, McCann in New York landed DuPont’s Lycra business. That brand is now part of Invista. Its other brands include Stainmaster, Antron and Coolmax.

Invista claims $6 billion in revenue with offices in 86 countries. Like its parent, Invista is based in Wilmington, Del.
