Mason & Madison Rebrands, Restructures

BOSTON Mason & Madison said it has changed its name to Mason Inc., effectively immediately.

The company was formed in 1951 as Langeler Advertising. The Mason & Madison name has been used since 1979, though former creative director Russ Madison left more than a decade ago. The shop said the change reflects current management and a realignment of company divisions.

Mason previously had separate company names for certain specialty divisions such as interactive (netFeat) and promotions (Wide Eye Marketing). Now, all units are united under the Mason Inc. name, along with the shop’s core public relations and advertising divisions.

Charlie Mason leads the shop as president. Fran Onofrio, Steve Hayes and Jamie Klim are all executive vice presidents. All told, the independent agency in Bethany, Conn., has about 55 employees.

Key clients include Black & Decker, Cookson Electronics, Krispy Kreme, New Alliance Bank and Scandinavian Airlines.
