Many Moves for ESPN

After dropping Lois/US.A as its creative agency, ESPN has hired Wieden & Kennedy of Nike fame to develop a new on-air and off-ah’ look for all its advertising and promotion. ESPN also retained BJK&E Media, Bozell’s standalone media unit, to handle the planning and placement for the new effort. John Lack, ESPN’s executive vp/programming and marketing, said there’s a strong chance Wieden & Kennedy might also get involved with the sports net on programming ventures. “Because they represent some clients that have program ideas, we would entertain the idea of doing programming with them,” said Lack.
