Makos Advertising, Aus-tin, Texas, enlisted a former staffer on GSD&M’s Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club business to lead its account service and client acquisition efforts.
Sandy Hancock joins the management team at the 10-person shop and will act as account supervisor, overseeing clients such as Dell Factory Outlet and Netforce Technologies.
Makos president Mark Turner said Hancock’s experience at GSD&M, which posted 1997 billings of $585 million, was a key factor in her hiring. Hancock was one of four account managers on GSD&M’s Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club business.
