CHICAGO Ray Lyle, Ogilvy & Mather’s director of broadcast production here, has retired after 35 years in the business, according to the agency. His retirement was effective Thursday.

For the past 16 years, Lyle, 62, had been at Ogilvy’s Chicago office, handling productions for clients such as Sears Roebuck and Co. and Dove. He began his career as an art director at J. Walter Thompson in 1969 and was part of the team that developed 7Up’s “Uncola” positioning.
