Lowe has tapped gcd Richard Wallace to steer creative work on one of its largest accounts, Verizon Wireless. The New York shop has inherited the client through its merger with IPG sibling Bozell. Executives considered several candidates during a two-month search, an agency rep said, with Wallace the only internal candidate. The client spent an estimated $730 million on ads in 2002, according to CMR.
