NEW YORK Lowe has offered its worldwide CEO job to former Fallon international president Michael Wall, sources said.
Wall is considering the offer but has yet to sign a deal, according to sources. His talks with Lowe, however, are said to be at an advanced stage.
Most recently, Wall was CEO of BBDO Portugal, but he left that job in March, reportedly to pursue opportunities in the U.K. or U.S. He worked at BBDO Portugal for about a year.
Wall was among five founding partners of Fallon’s London office — which opened in 1998 — and became international president in 2004. In the global role, he oversaw offices in London, Hong Kong, Sao Paolo, Singapore and Tokyo and reported to then chairman Pat Fallon.
Lowe’s new CEO will succeed Stephen Gatfield, a transplant from parent company Interpublic Group who has held the top post for three years. His successor will work out of London, where worldwide chairman Tony Wright also is based.
Wright declined to comment, and IPG could not immediately be reached.
