In its ongoing effort to prevent storm-water pollution from damaging waterways and the Pacific Ocean, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and the City of Los Angeles recently launched an ad campaign reminding consumers to properly dispose of litter, motor oil, fertilizers, pesticides and other debris.
The ads, developed by Industrial Strength Advertising in Los Angeles, use a lighthearted approach, featuring nonthreatening images to deliver a serious message. One ad, for example, shows a puppy, and explains the consequences of not picking up after one’s dog.
