Loomis Acquires First National Assignment

DALLAS The Loomis Agency has been awarded national creative duties for Stanley Steemer International after four years of handling the client’s local work, the agency said.

The account, valued at $30 million, had been held by Young & Laramore, an Indianapolis independent. Loomis won the account without a review, according to the agency.

Loomis has been working with 18 markets locally, and has helped individual franchise operators and local company branch offices grow comparable year-over-year sales by as much as 31 percent in some cases, said Julie Marks, director of client services for the agency.

“This category doesn’t require a sophisticated sell,” Marks said. “Our creative has focused on delivering consistent, straight-forward promises about great service and superior results.”

She said the campaign, which is almost entirely television driven, features TV spots that end with a memorable sing-out and call-to-action created by Paul Loomis and Luminous Sound Studios, a sibling of the agency. One series of spots uses testimonials from customers.

“The work Loomis has been doing on the local level has been generating outstanding results,” said Wesley C. Bates, president and CEO of Stanley Steemer. “We want them to help us duplicate those results nationally across all our markets.”

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Stanley Steemer offers carpet, tile and grout, upholstery and air duct cleaning, emergency water damage service and rug sales.

The win is the first national account for Loomis, an Addison, Texas, independent that was a finalist in last year’s Pier 1 review.
