David Lane, president and co-founder of advertising agency LevLane in Philadleephia, has been elected board chair of the environmental organization PennFuture in Harrisburg, Pa. He succeeds Virginia Brown, who resigned to pursue other interests. Lane has been a PennFuture board member since 2004. Said Lane: “I have always been passionately green, passionate about the outdoors, about fishing and camping and hiking, and PennFuture is doing the important environmental advocacy and legislative work that I deeply believe in. They recognize that a strong Pennsylvania economy is helped, not hurt, by a strong environmental stewardship, and they get results.” Under Lane and Bruce Lev, LevLane has been active in green causes. This spring, the agency volunteered to help clean up FDR Park in South Philly. Thirty staffers, including Lane, pulled weeds, cleared trails, hauled trash, mulched, and planted flowers and trees.
