Now that McCann Erickson North America president Robert LePlae has parted ways with the Interpublic Group agency is McCann North American ecd Curt Detweiler soon to follow?

Two years ago, LePlae hired Detweiler away from Ground Zero, where he was a partner and ecd. The two former TBWA\Chiat\Day execs worked closely together when Detweiler, as a cd, ran the agency’s Nissan business. LePlae, the former president of TBWA’s North American group of companies, had been close to the Nissan account and in 1999 relocated to Japan to create a joint venture company with Tokyo’s Hakuhodo agency, where he became CEO of that effort.
