BOSTON Bruce Leonard, whose former shop Leonard Monahan, was a fixture in New England in the 1980s and ’90s, has launched a new venture, Everest Communica-
tions

Providence, R.I.-based Everest opens with five staffers. Clients include Bank of Rhode Island, The Rhode Island Blood Center and the state’s Kent County Water Authority. Leonard’s partners are former consultant Jason Grant and Frank Prosnitz, previously editor of the Providence Business News.

Leonard founded Leonard Monahan in Providence in 1978. The shop was well-known for its “They feel good” TV campaign for Keds, which used Demi Moore’s sexy voiceovers and helped define the brand in the late ’80s.
