WASHINGTON The American Legacy Foundation has hired a D.C. area start-up agency called Media Head to handle media chores on the $50 to $60 million anti-smoking media account, the client said.

The start-up’s president and CEO is James Geoghegan, former media director at gkv, a Baltimore agency formerly known as Gray, Kirk/VanSant.

Before joining Legacy, Chris Cullen, Legacy’s evp of marketing and communications, was svp for public relations and business development at gkv, where he worked on accounts for Choice Hotels International, Alamo Car Rental and the Maryland State Tobacco Cessation Initiative.
