Bill Kolb, the McCann Worldgroup rising star who has been overseeing all of the company's General Motors' business, has been promoted to president, diversified agencies, a new role where he'll take responsibility for driving key areas including data, analytics and media.

Kolb retains responsibility for GM, McCann Worldgroup's fastest-growing business. At McCann, Kolb has become known for his expertise with multiplatform strategies since he joined 15 years ago as an in-store marketing expert. He rose to senior-level positions at Momentum and was CEO of MRM//McCann before being promoted in 2013 to chairman and CEO of the globally integrated GM business at Commonwealth//McCann.
