David Murphy, the departing co-president at Minneapolis agency Barrie D’Rozario Murphy, is joining Lambesis as chief executive officer, a new position at the La Jolla, Calif. brand development company.

Among Lambesis’ clients are Skyy Vodka, which is currently launching its first TV campaign; Grand Marnier; Coca Cola’s Dasani water; Tacori jewelry; Cunard Line; and World Gym. Last month the agency added two new marketers: fashion accessories retailer Charming Charlie and Scottish craft beer Brew Dog.

Absent a CEO, Lambesis has been run by chairman and founder Nick Lambesis, president and ecd Chad Farmer and chief finance and operating officer Vicki Hoekstra.

Murphy, who was also director of strategic planning at his namesake shop, said he’s leaving that agency to be close to his family, who live in Los Angeles.
