L.A. Galaxy Passes Its $1 Mil. Account To DavisElen

Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy has appointed DavisElen its agency after an informal agency search, according to the franchise. Billings were undisclosed, but estimated at $1 million.
“We looked at a number of different agencies,” said Whit Haskel, marketing director for the Galaxy. “In the end it came down to who was the best partner to help us both brand the team as well as … increase attendance.”
DavisElen already handles ad duties for the L.A. Kings NHL franchise and the Staples Center sports arena in Los Angeles. Sister agency Ad Amƒricas was assigned Hispanic marketing duties.
New ads are scheduled to break in February, and will focus on establishing the Galaxy brand, according to Mark Davis, agency chairman and chief executive. –Angela Dawson
